Whilst I didn't myself as I was bed bound, some people noticed this.

So that's what it was, thanks. I'll let one of my carers know that it wasn't anything supernatural or anything to worry about.

I first read about this on davidicke.com/forum . I wonder what it was??

Yes. When I went for lunch there was a red tinch to everything sort of light twilight but a different colour.

As explained in the BBC article this was widely reported and understood. It was dust that hurricane Ophelia had dragged in from the Sahara and the forest fire in Europe.

IIRC the first time it was reported was in the early 80's but I can't find a link.

it's the butterfly effect a butterfly flaps it's wings in Australia and a chicken lays an egg in cleethorpes ,i'll leave you to work that one out ;)
