Well deserved too, especially with the recent expansion to include the F1 companion goodies. :D

Sky Go App to Launch on Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note Soon

Quote:

The rather excellent Sky Go app for on-demand telly junkies is soon to become available on the excellent Samsung Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus smartphones.

News has arrived from one of TechRadar’s top-secret sources, who confirmed that Sky has plans to expand the Android smartphones on which its app will work. Currently going through a rigorous testing procedure with the app are the phone-come-tablet Galaxy Note and the Android 4.0 launch device, the Galaxy Nexus.

I'm surprised that Sky Go isn't available already on the 2 devices mentioned.

What Android devices is it currently released on?

Anyone paying for Sky Protect, if so any good? Is it value for money? Is it worth it in the 12 months?

I don't pay it but IMO not worth it. If your stb breaks outside of warranty then you can pay £65 for an engineer visit which will include repair or replacement with a 3 month warranty.

So after 12 months if the box breaks i only need to pay £65 and if he cant repair it on site i get a new box from him? Also what happens if disk becomes faulty or goes out of alignment?

If he can't fix it then I think they give a refurb.

If your disk is the reaon they will replace the disc and you have a three month warranty for the part that is replaced.

On average, say your stb breaks every two years - it is cheaper to buy a brand new one than pay the insurance. Plus the current STBs are meant to be quite reliable anyway.

I believe so. They just send out an engineer and he will fix or replace.

Not everyone has to pay for engineer visits. If you argue hatd enough you may get a free visit.

Cheers. Paying £65 for a engineer visit doesnt seem as bad as i first thought then. I hope i dont have to pay for one for a long time and even better if never at all
