Cordless phone noise.
We have recently noticed that both our cordless phones, one upstairs and one downstairs on separate sockets have developed a brief buzzing noise when in use which is quite loud as if it were on speakerphone.
We don't have a corded phone to try but will get one to try to see if this eliminates the problem. The buzzing occurs several times on every call and lasts a few seconds and sounds like electrical inteference of some kind. NOTE, we have had the phones a while and have not changed anything that could be causing the noise. Any ideas? |
Re: Cordless phone noise.
You would need to test the line with a standard corded phone before calling faults as that is all they would advise before any further tests.

We gets this on our DECT phones as well - I think it's interference from somewhere.

Re: Cordless phone noise.
Could be a neighbour with a new router, cheap chinese microwave or even bluetooth is enabled on your phone..
There's many devices working on 2.4Ghz, ranging from microwaves, dect phones, video senders, routers, bluetooth....etc... Do you though perhaps have a wired land line to confirm that it is RFI and not noise on the BT/VM line itself?? |
