Ooooops.... :)

I'm happy to stand corrected! I actually listened to what the producers promised when the film was announced... should've known better then!

Well,it'll be interesting to see just how much is left over....

Not sure what to make of this one, but if they do it right it could be the film of 2012..

That has the potential to be insanely awesome or absolutely terrible - I'm hoping the former :)

Book was excellent - hope the film lives up to it.

Has anyone seen the Total Recall remake?

It's had average / negative reviews, and currently has a rating of 30% on Rotten Tomatoes (compared to 84% for the original).

The general consensus of the reviews I have read is that it is a soulless and average run-of-the-mill SF action thriller...

From reading the story on the Wikipedia entry, it does sound like it's just an altered remake of the Arnie version (rather than a more accurate adaptation of the original story), with a few things changed such as the location... plus the Lori role (played by director Len Wiseman's wife Kate Beckinsale) seems to have been expanded by merging it with the original's Richter.

I'll save my £10 and just watch the Arnie version at home.
