V+ Box Died
So my V+ Box has died today. Struggled to power on and gives the ye old stop display.
Called up and was informed I'm being sent free of charge a new TIVO Box in 3-5 business days though :( Now the question is what one would I get. I have with Virgin on a very old contract that's rolling Full House TV VIVID 100 Talk more anytime I'm hoping it will be the V6 Box, as the previous tivo model is a bit crap |
Re: V+ Box Died
Good luck with that - my other V+HD died and I got given another one rather than a Tivo despite being on the top pack with all bells and whistles. I wasn't impressed at all.

Re: V+ Box Died
I'm hoping I get a TIVO box, it what I was told and I was given the whole we normally charge for this speech.
Maybe the old stock of the V+ Boxes has gone. |
Re: V+ Box Died
Given they are obsolete, I would think they dont want to be giving any more out anyway.

Re: V+ Box Died
when my v+ box died, they sent another V+ box, and that died within weeks, I couldn't be arsed with the hassle of recording and losing programs again, having to sort out another V+ if the next refurb went wrong etc, so spoke upgto them and sent I wanted to upgrade to vivo, glad I did, I think I may have had to change the package I was on when I did that though.

Re: V+ Box Died
500Gb TiVO is now the swapout replacement for a faulty V+HD box. V6 box is still an upgrade on a legacy package. You would only get one automatically if you went onto a new package.

Re: V+ Box Died
The only thing with them giving out a new V6 box is the fact that it starts a new contract.

Re: V+ Box Died
I've been putting v6s in for all swaps for weeks. I only use tivo for when the customer has no broadband or needs a scart
