Preacher
 

New series Preacher started on AMC last Sunday.

In short, I guess you can call it Pulp fiction meets Supernatural type series.

I was really looking forward to this after watching Outcast, but I'm afraid I cannot tell you what the first episode was like as I didn't finish it...

The show, I think, is about a Texas preacher, who will fight the Devil, or perhaps an alien, I'm not sure. It mixes lots of violence, with silliness and supposed comedy. As said, I switched off before finishing the first episode and I have never done that before with a pilot episode.

I guess if you are a fan of Pulp Fiction, you may like this. It could've been great and you may think it is, but I found the whole thing stomach churning and switched off when the Devil's/alien's stomach innards were exposed to the world.

I am going to have to check but I am sure I read something a couple of days ago saying it had been cancelled.

Edit: nvm, I must have been thinking about something else.

It is based on a comic book

and is a very adult oriented series. Especially with a character called a***face

I got to watching this over the summer, and finished Season 1.

REally enjoyed it and now trying to squeeze Season 2 in when I can.
