WAN led flashing constantly on Belkin router
Hi there, I have a Belkin (F5D7230-4) 802.11g Wireless cable router. I recently upgraded to firmware v4.03.03 and since then, the WAN led has been constantly flashing, but the connection is fine. Before I upgraded the firmware, the WAN light did not flash, it was always on solid, just like the connected and power leds.
Is this normal? Is this a new feature with the firmware. Seems a bit backward to me. Normally I would assume a flashing led indicates a problem. It is also very annoying as I can see it flashing in the corner of my eye. Is there anything I can do? Maybe downgrade to my previous firmware v3 or something. Thanks for your help, Iain. |
Re: WAN led flashing constantly on Belkin router
If it's working I wouldn't have thought there would be a problem.

I have an fd7231-4 the wan led even blinks with the pc switched off but slowly, the more information passing over the wireless network the faster it will blink, this is normal, its possible this feature was disabled on the previouse firmware but has now been enabled since the upgrade.

Re: WAN led flashing constantly on Belkin router
I have the same router with firmware v2.00.1 and it blinks everytime you access WAN.
If I use the check firmware option it says there is non available, although I can see v4 on the support site. Any idea what it does? |
Re: WAN led flashing constantly on Belkin router
I have a wired cable router, and my WAN is constantly flashing. It's just the modem "talking" to the router.
