3 beeps and then hangs up
 

Anyone know what this means ?

I'm trying to call another mobile from my Virgin PAYG phone and when I call the number I get three short beeps and then it cuts off.

Anyone else had this ?

I can dial all other numbers fine. only this one giving these 3 beeps.

What is the signal level like?

I get this when I have low signal levels

Signal level is fine. I will see the person tomorrow so ask them if maybe there is a fault with their phone ?

3 beeps and cuts off normally mean the phone IMEI has been blacklisted for one reason or another. You should still be able to call the provider from it to see why.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Managed to reach the person in the end but then it cut out. They mentioned they had been having issues with the phone all day hence I couldnt contact so I am assuming it is a problem their side.
