Re: Floyd Mayweather tables £12.2m offer for McGregor to face him in a boxing ring.
heard about the insane ticket prices on the news this morning, measures were in place to stop touts, I'm guessing those measures weren't very good....
Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor: Tickets on StubHub for $150,000 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/40746053 whether they will actually sell at that price is another matter ;) |
Re: Floyd Mayweather tables £12.2m offer for McGregor to face him in a boxing ring.
I reckon they could easily pocket double the face value on the most expensive tickets. People that could afford to pay $150,000 a ticket likely have a middleman and tickets already though. Just wishful thinking I hope.
It's the PPV cost that's bothering me at the minute. It isn't set in stone but we saw £25 I think for Mayweather vs Pacman? We could see £30 odd quid here. I'd expect to see a P4P top ten list card for that. American cinema chains are broadcasting at £30 per head. That's atrocious. A tenner would easily suffice. I'd welcome that idea here too for a reasonable cost again. £30 would hopefully see it blow up in their face with empty screenings. |
Re: Floyd Mayweather tables £12.2m offer for McGregor to face him in a boxing ring.
I'm pretty sure here where cinemas have shown "big" football matches and concerts tickets have been similar price to normal film prices, which would almost seem reasonable. Surely at $30 ppl will flock to a sports bar showing it, but maybe they''ll have to pay too much to show it so will charge admission?
I remember many years ago going on a date, not realising teh pub I went to on first date with a girl was showing Frank Bruno fight, I was sneakily watching it, funnily enough she caught me out, 'cos she was doing same thing :) |
