The news site is excruciatingly slow at the moment in RG41 and the main BBC site isn't serving.

Very,very slow on the news section. Lucky not to time out..and also slow on sites I'm subscribed to..

Very, very slow here. Was down completely at about 0200 this morning.

Feels like a DDOS attack - the BBC was hit by a major one almost exactly a year ago: http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...rs-ddos-attack

Added: although going through a proxy seems OK and I can't see anyone one other broadband forums complaining of the same issue.

Its not working for me in Birmingham UK. Have spoke to a bloke on the Virgin Media helpdesk who is unable to understand the english language. He says it works for him fine and not me. Probably would work if he isnt in the UK!!!!!!!!!!

He declines there is any issue and its not on the Virgin Media Status Page.

P.S the issue has been effecting facebook.

Also I woke up to find my internet dead, had to reboot my modem
