Stayed in with the missus last night and watched the first 2 episodes of Friday Night Lights. We both really enjoyed it, excellent US TV show and can't wait to watch the rest of the season. :)

The trailer for anyone who hasn't seen it: http://youtu.be/m4SQR2eaMgU

I think the poll was before Treme but that show took me completely by surprise. The quality of that shows is right up there with the best of Atlantic shows.

Russell Brand's new FX comedy series Strangely Uplifting will air on Sky Atlantic in the UK.

One show that will only be appearing for one season is LUCK.

Quote: "TV horse racing drama Luck was axed yesterday after a third animal died in filming. Makers HBO said it was a "difficult decision" to cut the Sky Atlantic show after a thoroughbred was put down following a head injury. The final two episodes of the show, starring Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte, will be aired as planned" Unquote.

Adam Buxton's Bug to become Sky Atlantic series

Quote:

Adam Buxton's live music video show, Bug, is to be adapted for a TV series for Sky Atlantic.

The BSkyB-owned subscription channel has ordered an eight-part series of 30-minute shows to be presented by Buxton and broadcast in the autumn.

Adam Buxton's Bug will celebrate "innovative and groundbreaking videos, include special guests from the world of music videos and highlight the funniest comments on the web", according to Sky. Each episode will also feature an original music video created by Buxton and leading directors.
