BT to separate from Openreach
 
Following pressure from OFCOM, BT will now separate from its Openreach division which will become a separate company.

Never thought it would be sold off anyway. Who would want to take on an entity with so much "baggage" attached?

It seems more like an internal juggling of who reports to who and which section assets lies in. All within BT and it's Openreach :P

Probably similar to the arrangements that exist within financial services institutions that are also listed on the stock exchange, which prevent price sensitive information passing between the board and the fund managers. It's called a Chinese Walls policy.
