PS3 Gets first 3D Titles

PS3 3D titles will be available from tomorrow with the 3D Collection pack

Quote:

The 3D TV revolution is here and you can take advantage of it with the 3D Collection. Available in June 2010 exclusively from PlayStation Store, you can enjoy the delights of PAIN, Super Stardust HD, WipEout HD and a demo of MotorStorm Pacific Rift, all in 3D to bring a whole new dimension to their gameplay - just make sure you have a 3D TV to experience it.
3D Telly required though :(

Re: PS3 Gets first 3D Titles

so they are not sending signals to the glasses themselves then? A 3d tv of the active shutter variety( which Sony are championing) is just a TV with a fast enough refresh rate and a transmitter to tell the glasses what to do.

In theory anyone with a 100/120 hz tv would be able to enjoy this flavour of 3d as long as there is a transmitter for the glasses
