Best Hard drive imaging software?

Being a Linux fan, I use partimage off the SystemRescueCD - free of course :)
Are you going to backup to an external USB drive?

Forgive my ignorance, Isn`t that for Linux or does it work for all operating systems?;)
I`ll be backing up to an external usb drive mate ta.

Acronis for me. It'll be slow to image to usb, much better to cobble up a proper ATA/SATA hookup if possible.

That way you can use the clone facility and it won't take all night.

Partimage works with all partition types. The fact the partition is ntfs is (largely) irrelevant - you boot up the Linux live CD and just copy the partition bit for bit.
