Android emulator for Win 11
 

Hi all. I've spent a couple of hours trying and failing to get an Android emulator to run on Win 11. There seem to be a lot of them out there but either they doesn't actually work or they are riddled with spyware (or both).
I'm trying to get the Wattbike app to run on my wifes lappy so she can connect to her Wattbike Atom V2.
I have the .apk file but can't seem to get it to work with any of the emulators I've tried so far.
Any suggestions?

can you use Bluestacks?

works fine for playing mobile games in windows

otherwise, more of a faff could try https://www.android-x86.org/ in virtualbox?

Bluestacks installed ok but gave an error (2002) when I tried running the .apk. I looked at android developer software but balked at having to run it in virtualbox.

Windows Subsystem for Android official part of the OS> You can either just go to the MS store and add the Amazon app or follow this tutorial if you want play store

whatever route you take unless you run Android X86 as an installed OS you will be running a virtual machine

Yeah, I saw the Amazon app but the blurb said that you can't just add an .apk to it. I didn't know that you could add play access to it though so I'll give that a go. Ta :)

you can sideload APKs to WSA the Amazon Appstore may have the app she uses anyway

in bluestacks can't you just download the app through the normal google play store?
