Streaming recordings from the V6 to a tablet or phone.
 

Just had an email saying that it's possible to view 'selected' recordings from the V6 to a tablet or phone via the TV Anywhere app. when connected by WiFi. It doesn't say if the V6 and the other device has to be the same WiFi connection or not.

I suspect it will have to be, but it would be really useful to be able to watch V6 recordings whilst away from home.

I knew that TiVo/V6 boxes could do this when connected by cable, but this is the first I've heard of this.

Is this a new feature or something that has always been possible?

So presumably you could do it remotely if you had a VPN connection to your home network.

Unfortunately, although this is supposed to be available, I have yet to find a single recording that I could download to my iPad.

Useless feature imho
