Microsoft Silverlight
 
I am still not sure what Silverlight does..as I do not do Webhosting,designing..do I really need it ?

It's a browser plugin, in much the same way that Flash is. Unless you visit a site that requires it, there's no need to have it... but it'll probably become more popular in the future.
