(Virgin) Blackberry data allowance

Is there an easy way to find out how much of my /unlimited/ blackberry services allowance I've used this month on my Blackberry (Curve 3g).

When I log onto my mobile account it tells me how many standard minutes , texts I've used and how much data allowance. But not blackberry allowance.

Presumably the data allowance is listed seperately as it shows I've used less than 5mb in an entire month.

Cheers :)

I emailed support about this and their answer was to goto your account and it tells you there.....even though I mentioned in the query that it did not. :P

What blackberry package do you mean, if its the email, then I am sure there is no limit just uses your 3g connection.

The 'unlimited' blackberry addon. It does not use my unlimited data allowance, but it uses it's own data. I still have not been able to find out how much blackberry usage I am using though.

edit (from virgin mobiles page)

'Unlimited Blackberry Emails/Messenger/Apps/Web Access: Unlimited Blackberry emails are subject to a fair use allowance of 50MB per day. This allowance also includes use of BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Apps, and Internet Browsing via the BlackBerry browser. If your usage exceeds this amount then we reserve the right to charge you for the excessive element of your usage at the per MB data rate for your tariff outlined in our Tariff Table. Unlimited use is within the UK and is for your personal, non-commercial use only.'

Great, but I want to know how much of this I have used.

The only one I can find is the one that tells you how many calls made recieved.

I guess I'll just give it a couple of months and see what happens :)

Apparently Virgin Media haven't set it up on their site but they say you can check it on your phone. Have you tried this?

Quote:

On your Blackberry go to options, status.

You will see your status screen for signal strength, battery charges, memory, etc.

Now there is no field to type in, but just type BUYR and press enter.

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.

You should now show three new lines.

Data usage

Voice usage

It Policy: enabled/disabled.

http://www.easycalculation.com/bandwidth-calculator.php

I put your figure in, which I THINK is kilobits and this doesnt come anywhere near 500mb. Infact, it comes in at less than 50mb. I would also imagine this is your total usage and not month per month.

I dont think youve got anything to worry about at all.
