Phil Harrison leaves Sony

(or was he pushed?)

This comes soon after he expressed some frustration with SCE Japan at the GDC...

Sony has had a very bizarre approach to PR. Admitting Sony made some mistakes and worse still Nintendo got somethings right properly annoyed them slightly. He has a record of being one of the more open guys at Sony for the gaming press to talk too, that was properly a contributing factor as well.

LOL.

The rumour is that he's gonna be heading to Atari.

I'd expect his Sony contract would've had some sort of clause in it anyway, preventing him from joining a major competitor for x period of time.

If they pushed him it may void the contract, He was good at Sony, Crazy for them to let him go over such a trival matter. Especially when the Playstation brand is recovering.

Both Microsoft and Nintendo often talk about other products, Microsoft praised the Wii on several occasions, it's good PR.
