static on the phone line
 

hi i have used virgin media telephone services for years and have never had an issue but since Saturday a weird static hiss plays through the phone when someone rings or when i ring out to someone.

any help would be great

i've unplugged the phone line and checked for dust ect.

Sounds to me like a loose or corroded connection; give 150 a call

yep id get them to check the Omni box first then the CAB and then the DSA

Apparently I had a similar problem. I couldn't hear it, but the guy at VM who I was talking to about another issue could. So he reported the fault, and it turned out that I needed another cable pulled through. Although he did check other options first.
