Free movies via TiVo Youtube app

Thought this might be an interesting thread for those who love movies, with TiVo, but don't have SKY movies or Picturebox etc...

I'm amazed at how many full length movies are available for free on Youtube. Thought we could start a list of full length movies that you can watch for free on your TiVo box.

I'm looking to create a list of movies that can be watched directly via your TiVo box without the need for a Youtube account or subscribing to channels or going online and choosing videos to watch later. This is purely for movies you can search for and watch on your TiVo box, and nothing else . Also let's not list movies that are split into ten 10 minute sections etc... This is a list of movies that are available in full length version.

So far I've found:

Day Of The Dead - 1985 Version

The Running Man

Judge Dredd

I've only been searching for 10 minutes, and will post more as I find them. Hopefully you can find some also. Through time we will have a big list of freebies :)

Wouldn't you just be better setting a wishlist up for movies it's surprising how many it locates on the XL inclusive channels.

It's an option. I just wanted to highlight that Youtube can also be used for free movies on an on demand basis. People have posted in these forums previously that they want Netflix or Lovefilm on TiVo. Youtube appears to have a decent selection of movies if people search for them.

Other movies I've found via TiVo Youtube app:

Highlander HD

Highlander The Quickening

Total Recall

I'll try that later. My wife has been asking me about that movie since we saw a trailer in the cinema about 3 months ago.

Another classic. Didn't Brandon Lee die on set, due to a shooting accident, with the remainder of the film being completed using CGI and body doubles? That was almost 20 years ago:shocked:

Yes he did:(

Brandon Lee died of a fatal gunshot wound on March 31, 1993 after an accidental shooting on set of The Crow where live bullets were used during a scene. Lee was rushed to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC where 6 hours of operation were attempted. However, attempts to save him were unsuccessful, and Lee was pronounced dead at 1:04 pm on March 31, 1993 at 28 years old. The shooting was ruled an accident.

In the scene in which Lee was shot, Lee’s character walks into his apartment and discovers his fiancĂ©e being beaten and raped by thugs. Actor Michael Massee's character fires a revolver at Lee as he walks into the room. [5] Proper blank cartridges were used during the fatal scene, however due to a mix up during earlier filming of gun close ups, a bullet had become lodged in the barrel of the revolver without anyone noticing. In the fatal scene the explosive charge of the blank propelled the bullet lodged in the barrel as if the gun had been loaded with a live round, resulting in the fatal accident. [6]

Quote:

On March 31, 1993, at EUE Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, North Carolina, Brandon Lee sustained an accidental gunshot wound on the set of the film. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. There were eight days left before shooting of the film was to be completed. The scenes involving Lee and Shinas' characters in their apartment had been saved for the end of filming so that Lee could work the final week without makeup.[3] In the story, Lee's character comes to his apartment where his girlfriend is being raped by a gang of thugs, and then he is shot and killed by Michael Massee's character, playing one of the thugs. Weeks prior to the event, a scene was being filmed that required dummy rounds to be shown being loaded into the handgun. Inexperienced crew members, pressured by time constraints, purchased live ammunition, removed the bullets, dumped the gunpowder, and then replaced the bullets back into the empty cartridges with the live primers still in place.[3][4]

When the time came to film the scene where Michael Massee shoots Lee's character, the same gun was loaded with blank cartridges. Unbeknownst to the crew, the bullet from one of the dummy rounds had become lodged in the barrel of the gun. It is believed that someone on set was playing with the gun, pulled the trigger and inadvertently caused the live primer to fire; this would have resulted in the bullet moving a couple of inches into the barrel of the gun. When the gun was operated, the propellant in the blank rounds – which is used to give the visible effect of a gunshot – dislodged the bullet, which penetrated Lee's abdomen and lodged in his spine. The injury caused massive blood loss. As the production company had sent the firearms specialist home early, responsibility for the guns was given to a prop assistant who was not aware of the rule for checking all firearms before and after any handling. Therefore, the barrel was not checked for obstructions when it came time to load it with the blank rounds.[3][4]
