Guardian: Freeview 'porn' sparks Ofcom action.

Ofcom has complained to the Dutch media regulator about the content of adult chat channels Babestation and Smile TV, which are licensed in the Netherlands but broadcast to millions of Freeview households in the UK overnight and can be easily accessed by children in their bedrooms.

As they`re on late at night children shouldn`t be watching television then. It`s up to parents to see that the television is`nt on in their childs bedroom late at night. If necessary take the fuse out of the plug,it only takes a few seconds. Personally I think the channels are rubish and would prefer more entertaining channels instead. Others will disagree I guess and everyones entitled to their opinions.

Guardian: Channel 4 to launch 4seven catchup channel in the summer.

Channel 4 has secured a Freeview slot and distribution deals with Sky and Virgin Media for the project.

Channel 4 is to buy a Freeview slot for forthcoming repeats channel 4seven, which will be populated by its most popular shows but have the flexibility to air content that has stirred up discussion.

DMOL: Interim Changes to the Adult and Local TV Genres from Monday.

DMOL has today confirmed that from April 16th Adult genre will move into one block on Freeview Channels LCN 91 to 100.

And that Local TV Channel - Channel M will move from Freeview Channel 200 to Freeview Channel 75.
