That didn't take long to get off topic.
Back on topic, please. |
Re: Missiles stationed on residential roof for Olympics
Cool!
If I was one of the residents there I would support this. Makes logical sense and helps protect the games, even better if a plane is heading direct towards the Olympic Park the police aren't going to bring it down on top of themselves :D |
Re: Missiles stationed on residential roof for Olympics
How many residential appartment blocks have AA missiles on the roof, and military guards in the grounds.....it's about as secure as you can get. But some residents are still maoning :D

Re: Missiles stationed on residential roof for Olympics
Not that long ago they were (maybe still are) thinking about having a similar installation in the park on the top of Shooters Hill in S. London. Even then a number of residents were whining about it. What on Earth do these people think the authorities should do I wonder? Seems to me that, as usual, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't...

Re: Missiles stationed on residential roof for Olympics
Do these people really think that we don't already have a number of these installations dotted around the UK already?
Or is it just a case of 'not near my home'? |
Re: Missiles stationed on residential roof for Olympics
I reckon 'thinking' is what many of these people don't do enough of.
