Olympic Torch Relay - Your reports
Please use this thread to only report your experiences of seeing the Olympic torch along it's route which started today with it's first section from Lands End to Plymouth.
Do not use this thread as a political springboard for comments about the Olympics nor for comments about the games themselves. Personally I have to wait for day 51 Letchworth or Day 51/52 Luton Any pictures or video links that you have taken in this thread would be great |
Re: Olympic Torch Relay - Your reports
Yes it arrives into our city at 19.40 tonight but one can imagine the crowds being 10 deep along the route so l will be watching it on TV tonight.

Re: Olympic Torch Relay - Your reports
We have just been told we were successful in our application for tickets to Blue Peter's live torch relay show when it comes to Dumbarton in a couple of weeks. I've only waited 30 plus years to get audience tickets for a Children's BBC show. :D
We will be on site by 8.30am ready for live transmission from 9am. The torch is heading from Dumbarton up west Loch Lomond that day so I guess we will see it setting off fairly early on. I will post whatever we manage to snap while we're there. |
Re: Olympic Torch Relay - Your reports
The torch will pass within a mile of my house at around 7:45 am in july

We went down to see it in Nottingham the other week, after a day of heavy showers the sun turned out in the evening. Torvill & Dean carried it into the city centre. |
