very loudpeaker phone
Is possible to get an amplified speaker attachment for a standard landline telephone?
I have a very deaf very elderly mother-in-law who finds that at maximum volume speaker phones distort & even then are barely loud enough. Alternatively is it possible to link the phone to a set of powered PC style speakers? n.b. She is unable to use the induction loop system. She is also very technophobic so it needs to be a solution that I set up that requires little or no “fiddling about” on her part. Thanks in anticipation |

Problem with adding speakers to a speaker phone is that you'll get to a point where it'll just feed back on itself..
There are though specialised phone designed for the elderly for example http://www.amazon.co.uk/Geemarc-Clea...8234769&sr=8-1 |

Thank you TheNorm for the welcome. Yes I have looked at RNID but there appears to be nothing that appears to have a large enough speaker to have the power without the distortion.
It is a shame she is so technophobic because when she comes to our house I sit herdown infront of the computer & she can converse with her grand & greatgrand children over Skype with the camera on so she can lipread. |
