I don't understand why you think reducing your service to 100Mb will resolve any of the problems you have?

Unfortunately dude I think this is all one big coincidence. It makes no difference whether you are on 100mbit or 200mbits. You are using the same superhub which will be bonded and using the same channels to send your traffic over as you was before. The only thing which would have changed when you got "upgraded" is that a new config file would have been sent down to the shub "telling it" it is now allowed to do 200mbits and not 100mbits. In laymen's terms for you, you are still driving down the same road in the same and all I have done is remove the 30mph speed limit and you are now allowed to drive at the national limit.

I would honestly give it a day or two and see what happens. It is possible there has been an area fault over the weekend/bank holiday and they are waiting for the guys to get back to work tomorrow to address it. In the meantime there are 3 things you can do going forward should you problems persist (and they will do even if you downgrade to 100mbits).

Firstly you can run a speed test (or several) and see what sort of speeds you are getting now:

Secondly you can take a look at your router settings out of curiosity and see if the new config has dropped down (especially if you aren't getting anywhere near 200mbits in the speedtest which you have just done) and look at the power levels on your channels etc. Poor power levels on the upstream can cause connectivity issues and poor levels on the downstream can give you speed issues:

Thirdly if you are still experiencing issues then you also need to make one of these for diagnostic purposes. If all is well it should look like this:

and if not it will look something like this with some chunky red in the middle for artistic effect:

If you do come back here and want some more advice/help then please make sure you post your speed test result, your power levels for the upstream and downstream, your network log and setup and TBB monitor and share the live graph so we can take a look at it.

If you're on 200 i think you should be on a hub3 is that correct? If you're then on your TBB graph it will be normal to get lots of yellow with lots of down streams.

Re: Back to 100

I don't think so, I have got a shub 2. I thought shub3's were for 300mbits. Do you know which one you have got off the top of your head dude? It says it on the bottom. This is the shub 1, 2 and 3 if it helps make identifying them any easier.

VIVID 200 can be on the 2 or 2ac.

VIVID 200 Gamer should be on a Hub 3.0 but it can be on the older 2 / 2ac

VIVID 300 is only on the Hub 3.0

They have changed the hub for a second time in three weeks . Engineer couldn't find anything wrong with last one but it worked with new one!!! So three hubs in four weeks . So far so good but I really can more than manage on100!

you need to look more closely then. Watching stuff in SD kills me and this is another one of my niggles at a half assed BBC which I am forced to pay for. I keep getting channel 101 is BBC 1 SD and when I watch Wimbledon in summer (the only thing I watch on the BBC) I have to keep remembering to switch to 141. When you watch SD the lines on the court look blurry, the crowd is a fuzz and the players kits don't look crisp. Switch to 141 and you'll see what I mean immediately. It is how I imagine the improvement in your eyesight would seem when you have cataracts removed.

I have a hard time watching anything under 1080 60 most of the time 1440 60 or 4k 30 are mostly what I prefer.

Re: Back to 100

Since i got a modern 4K TV Samsung 49KS9000 i find the up scaling from SD bloody fantastic when viewed from several feet way, far superior than when i viewed it on a 8yr old Sony 40in 1080p TV, so a modern TV 'could' make a hell of a difference even with old broadcast content like Only Fools and Horses.

As well, there's a huge difference in quality between broadcast HD, streamed HD and blu-ray HD.
