Re: Pale moon ?
I have Pale Moon installed on one of my PC's, used by the rest of the family for browsing.
Its basically older Firefox and works well. I also have Waterfox on another machine (64 bit version) that also works well. |
Re: Pale Moon ?
I used to use Pale Moon and found it OK but it started to feel a tad claggie and I found that, over time, I was loosing some of the extensions I liked to use which were either no longer being maintained or that newer versions didn't work properly. I eventually returned to Firefox.
Waterfox is another you might like to use, I found it a bit slicker and very stable to start but it seemed to get slower and I dumped it about a year ago. IMHO These firefox breakaways never seemed to reach their full potential and always sacrificed something of their common parent in their quest for independence, but if you enjoy fiddling about they can be quite interesting to use. I have just started using Chrome as I am tempted to get a Chromebook and have loaded Duckgogo to see how it feels and have Cocoon earmarked to try as a Firefox addon. Oh my goodness I sound like a Browser tart. :D |
Re: Pale Moon ?
Duckgogo? Duckduckgo surely.

Turniphead is the best browser.

http://ddg.gg is a bit easier to remember and shorter to type if you are adverse to bookmarks. I use DDG for searching but sometimes fallback to google which I think does have superior results. To gain some privacy you can use google through startpage.com or ixquick.com and get the same results but giving google no info. |
Re: Pale Moon ?

Quantum was released to public on the 14th. I was unaware at the time. Mea culpa and all that carp. Happy now? |

Quantum forced itself on me today, and disabled all my addons. :td: Pretty damn stupid of them, I dont care if its a bit faster, I do care about the useful add-ons I use. Ive now re-installed 56.0.2 and disabled updates. |
