Intermittent DNS issues?

I'm getting intermittent problems accessing a range of websites. One minute it's working fine, and good response times, next minute the browser (Firefox) is saying "Looking up www.bbc.co.uk" (or whatever), and it just hangs.
Then, within a minute, it's all working again.

Anyone else seeing problems? Could be the TP Link powerline network I've just connected with aim to remove the miles of ethernet cable running round the house.

Which DNS are you using? Virgin, Google or OpenDNS?

Does the issue disappear if you reconnect the ethernet cable?

Re: Intermittent DNS issues?

Using the standard VM DNS pair. I'll have to try switching back to my previous connection (via 2 routers and lots of wire). Trouble is that it's fine most of the time, then just stops for a minute, then fine again, so it's difficult to be sure whether the problem is still around.

Going to say this is the most likely candidate, to be honest. How is performance without the Powerline, say on your mobile/wireless devices?

It's good on mobile.

I mean on wifi devices.

Then as Kushan has said the powerline adapters are the likely cause.
