Incidentally the machine still works perfectly (I was using it yesterday) it hasn't been used for the last 3 years and has never been serviced. :)

What a lovely find Tinky :)

My Crohns specialist secretary has just phoned and for some reason I have landed on two lists for my endoscopy one being done under a GA and the other one being under Propofol sedation now I need to decide what one I want and have until Monday to decide.

I think I will go for the GA for mainly the peace of mind that it offers as this way I know that I will be knocked out.

Just had our home & contents insurance renewal (which includes world-wide travel insurance) come through - 10% difference in price from last year.

10% less...

Quite happy with this.

Making my first attempt at a spaghetti Bolognese right now, and so far (apart from a little too much oil to fry off onions and mince) it seems to be going OK. Will report back after eating.

Try not to use oil for the mince as there is enough fat in it to cook properly.

Some say use butter (NOT margarine carp) to do the onions then add the mince.

My nieces girlfriend has qualified as cabin crew for Thomas Cook.

Her mother flew down from Glasgow too see her collect her wings.

Mind you I might change my career.

Shes gets a flat rate salary, but if she has to fly away from her base she gets £75.

She also gets £4 extra per hour while flying, this starts when shes clocks in.

Last night I was officially signed off as an auditor. YES!!!!!!!!

And finally spending time at home. Did last night, drove back to the office and then because it was so late by the time we got back there, I went straight back out again to do another job. Now home, and apart from some shopping not planning on leaving the house until Sunday. So I can catch up on some sleep.

From my past experience that "connection" more often broken than made.

Fortunately even if your ticket was an advanced booking they will honour it on the next available train to continue your journey.
