Just a moan about moving house and getting installed

Hi All,

Just make a note of this, if you move house take your old kit with you... whether it's being replaced or not, as we either need to install it, or take it back and upgrade it.

It's annoying as an engineer to turn up and be told i don't have the kit... we do report it back as lost / missing and virgin will likely charge you for it... as it is rented.

Also a tv for TiVo / vPlus / VHD installs is always handy... just to make sure it's working

Re: Just a moan about moving house and getting installed

I remember a few years ago when I moved house (2006) the engineer was surprised that I had brought the equipment with me from my old address. The engineer couldn't use my old tv box (think it was a Samsung 2100) and fitted a newer one (Samsung 2110) but did use the modem. When I connected the pc up the internet didn't work so had to call up and they added the modem to my address but something went wrong and I didn't get charged for the internet for nearly two years even though I rang up a few times and told them they said I was being charged correctly.

A few days after the install I got a call saying that they were going to collect the old equipment from my old address, when I told them that I had moved they were surprised and asked if they could get access to my old address to get the equipment, they were even more surprised that the engineer had taken my old tv box away.
