Re: Coming soon to Virgin TV (2012) Vol. 1.
Has anyone heard anything about the potential launch dates for Film GB, Sofa Stars and Sofa Screen?
http://www.electric-sofa.com/filmgb.htm These channels were supposed to launch before the end of 2011. The site owners, in the forum section of their site, have suggested they do have a launch date but can't confirm it as of yet. There is some speculation, and it's only speculation, that the channels will launch by the end of February, with an official announcement at the end of this month. Further speculation suggests the channels will launch on SKY and Freesat. No mention of Virgin :( |

They really need to bring NHL back next year if they can. As ESPN have exclusive UK rights to NBA is there a reason they dont show more than the handful of games each week on ESPN. With all the available slots on ESPNA now they could at least double the live games shown if not more. |

I see that some of the 3D on demand was taken off on new years day. Others are due to come off by 16th January so I hope there will be some more new programmes soon. There is no date for when the ESPN 3d programmes are due to end though.

Well then if the story is true, which I don't think it is, they will do just as Sky does and try and get as many games are they are legally allowed to. I can imagine ESPN (UK) closing if it is true though.

This apple thing will be in the press for a while and then disappear. It is unlikely they are going to want to spend billions on just football and it is unlikely that the EPL would want to sell their product to an proven distributor.
