Subnets & VLANS

Hi Folks,

I am currently in the middle of doing a networking assigment and have become stuck.

I have been tasked with created a network with 1 class B subnet with 30 host and then 7 class c subnets each with 10 host.

I have created the IP etc just fine. But i am at a loss on what hardware you could use to set this up?

I think i am going to use static IP addresses as i cannot see a away of using DHCP

At present i was thinking of using 2 routers and then going to switches anyone have any ideas?

Cheers :)

A layer 3/managed switch.

Any further scope in the question?

One router and DHCP would work just fine.

You've said nothing about VLANs in your post yet you mention it in your title, so what exactly do you want to do with them?

Just curious, seems a slightly outdated question.

Did you work this out via use of IP helper?
