Phone up and report your daughter's phone isn't working. I suspect they'll charge you If it's a difficult repair.

Re: damaged cable

You should get a £35 repair charge and you are supposed to pass it on to the tarmac folk

I didn't think people still fell for the, "We'll tarmac your drive, and give a discount for cash only", all said in a certain accent!

Can anyone point me in the direction of getting our Virgin phone line restarted - long story but basically we have no landline at all due allegedly to "corroded" cable and will not be fixed until 15 October - now been told we have to be in between 8 and 1 p.m. that day - this is not possible for us - otherwise we have to wait until 22/23 October for another slot. Having spent a fortune using our mobile phone trying to sort something out, have also used complaints form but 4 days later no acknowledgement or reply. Indian call centre absolutely useless and say there is no telephone number for customer complaints. So does anyone have a phone number where we will get some urgent help. Thanks.

If the cable has been identified as being defective and needs to be replaced and to ensure your services are working as they should then the date you will have been given will be the earliest appointment I suspect and you are given a time slot during that day. If you cannot make that date, then the next available date will be the 22/23 Oct, now virginmedia have given you a date, your unable to be there on that day given so they have given you the next available date that would be ok for you!!
