If so are you sure you are letting you email tool complete the download and is it set so that the emails are delted when downloaded. I know on some email software you can set it to download the email but leave a copy of the messages on the server

I have an AOL account and was having the same problem with deleted emails on my Droid Mike. I would delete them and when the Droid downloaded more/new messages the deleted ones would come back. I finely found out that if you go to settings > Accounts & sync and turn off Sync on G mail you will not get the deleted ones back when you load more messages. Hope this helps.
