_Cloud X SSID on LG G3
When i was on the Isle of Wight i found i was able to connect to a wireless hotspot called _cloud x.
From what i understand this is a hidden SSID to do with Skywifi and specifically only available to people on iphones. My problem is, i am not a Sky customer and not an iphone user as i have an LG G3 on pay as you go EE network, so this shouldn't work and my phone automatically connected to this. Has anyone else experienced similar as i am hoping i can keep using it when out and about now i am back in England? |

Although it's part of the The Cloud, which is a Sky company, that network is also used as part of Virgin Media WiFi.
With Virgin Media WiFi it's available for people with both Android and iOS phones - however for it to work you do need the appropriate access certificates installed. If you've not installed anything on your phone that includes access to the secure Cloud SSID, I'm not sure how you have managed to connect to it. |

Phone as recently been clean installed so other than the Virgin WiFi app nothing else has been installed for Wifi connectivity, i didn't have to log in or anything, it just popped up connected. |
Re: _Cloud X SSID on LG G3
Yup, that's by design for Virgin Media WiFi.
It'll pre-configure your phone for access when you do the auto-setup. |
