My Optician who I have had for years once made up a pair for me and when reading in the shop, they were fine a few days later they were not to my satisfaction, so I took them back and he ordered another pair, the frame did not suit the prescription ,
Go back and have a chat, they are to expensive now a days

When I last changed my bi focals I picked a larger frame than the ones that were being replaced, collected and everything looked o'k till I left the store.
On leaving the store I fell/tripped on edge of kerb, grazed palm of hand and grazed both knees.
Taken back into opticians with assistance there the optician told me the point of graduation was wrong, new lens had to be made to correct problem.
So any problem take them back!

I wish I knew what is going on with the hospital - they are trying to get me in early for my procedure and keep telling me to expect a stay for a few days.

Is there someone there that you can have a good discussion with regarding your forthcoming hospital admission.

Not really until I get there on Saturday - I'm not going near the place 'till then or they'll keep me. I did try to phone earlier but the phone just kept getting put down on me - maybe they were busy or something.

I think I just need to be more patient.

Yes l suspect they were busy when you tried to phone them but yes patience is a trait which some humans don't have much of sometimes including my good self occasionally.

To ask you to attend on a Saturday is one thing, the comment regarding expecting you to stay for a few days is another!
I would have been asking why the extended stay, the hospital to me is making the event for you more nerve racking.
Best wishes on your visit dilli, don't let them get you down.
Think positive!

I hate having to phone people. Much prefer using the net. Phones are the work of Beelzebub.

I prefer phone contact for urgent things - it's all to easy for people to delay dealing with an email.

But even if you phone they can put you on a automated answer phone as many do sometimes.

Well they're another, highly annoying, issue but once you've spoken to someone about an important matter the clock has started ticking and I think they're more likely to act promptly if only because they've been made aware of the issue - something which wouldn't be apparent until an email had been opened and read. What I tend to do is make the call then follow it up with an email confirming the name, date and time of call. I wouldn't rely on just one approach or the other for something I considered important and/or urgent.
