Virgin Isolator

Hi,

Does anyone know if it might be possible to buy a Virgin Media Isolator/wall plate?

I ask since I am about to redecorate a room, which will involve lifting a wooden floor. While this is up I'd like to run in some RG6 cable under the floor and then in a conduit in the wall with the correct VM faceplate.

When I am then ready to order TIVO the cable and plate will be in palce leaving the engineer to connect the other end to the omnibox outside.

I currently have a cable modem service only fed upstairs.

Regards
Clive

If running your own cable be aware the only cable currently that meets or in fact exceeds vm spec is Webro hd100 tri shielded cable, digital or sky or any other dual shielded cable does not meet spec.

Also requires use of PPC EX6 NT+ connectors if done to vm spec.

Both are available on eBay

Even then engineer may refuse to use. But you are more likely to get an engineer that will use using a vm spec cable rather than dual shielded

Isolator plates are available without vm branding from media cables website
