Very sad news, although I wasn't a fan of Wallace and Gromit, his work will live for a long long time to come.

I loved the understated humour in all his performances..Much funnier than the grandstanding of other actors. RIP.

RIP....

He wasnt just a great actor but a great voice actor to.

I remember watching him star in a childrens program called the Ghosts of motley hall when my son was young, but for me he will always be the great Norman Clegg from Last of the Summer wine, that program up until the day it ended made me smile.

News of another sad loss has been announced, Peter Sallis has died at the age of 96.Sallis was best known for his performance as flat-capped philosopher Norman 'Cleggy' Clegg in all 295 episodes of the record-breaking BBC sitcom Last of the Summer Wine which ran from 1973 to 2010.
