Help no sound for my hdmi!!!!

Hi,
I have an LG FLATRON M198WA-BZ, and i have just purchased a HDMI to DVI for my PS3, and the picture is fine, but there is no sound. I have tried changing the audio settings, but still no luck.
Is there anything that i can buy?
Please Help

IIRC DVI connections don't support audio.

You could try using the red & white phono cables supplied with the PS3 along with the DVI to your TV and don't forget to check the audio settings on the PS3 so that it knows which cable to use for audio.

EDIT: PS3 Audio Output settings info

Hope this helps

Ok thanks. I've sorted it out now. I connected the white and red cables into my stereo and speakers, and it works now

Just to add, if your computer has a Displayport (looks a little like HDMI) can get a Displayport to HDMI connector (10 quid on fleabay) this will carry audio.
Its what I use.!

I think the PS3 requires the monitor to support HDCP? :erm:
