Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

Have more issues this evening as well from around 7pm, been up and down. Ended up connecting to my Mobile via my router for internet.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

For your service to move to qam 16 the node must of been noisy . The cmts does this to keep a service if possible . The noise can be caused by faulty kit in the street but more than often it comes from one address than cause major problems for everyone else . :)

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

After being down all night, I just rebooted the Hub 3 and it is now currently connected, with both on 64 qam.

But the recorded message is still when you phone up, so I expect more issues.

I just checked the error log on the Hub 3 and have a the page is full of:

017-07-12 05:35:18.00 82000700 Unicast Ranging Received Abort Response - initializing MAC;CM-MAC=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx;CMTS-MAC=yy:yy:yy:yy:yy:cc;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;
2017-07-12 05:35:18.00 82000200 No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx;CMTS-MAC=yy:yy:yy:yy:y:y;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;

This is the last one in the log, you need to add an hour on to the time, as the Hub 3 is running in GMT/UTC timezone and UK is in BST +1 on GMT/UTC

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

Email would be more UK wide issue, I would think

And it continues, the record message is still on the VM 150 about issues.
I am starting to get sick of it, as it been going on for like over 3 days now.
My powerlevels are all good.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

Nothing has changed for me since I did my reboot on Monday. One of my upstreams has dropped from 47.5 to 46.25 and that is it.

Have you tried giving VM a ring for an update? The Indian dude I spoke to on Sunday spoke excellent English very clearly and could easily have been in an English call centre.

I phoned up and it is an SNR issues started on the 10th July should be fixed by 17th July.

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

It's strange because when I rang them on Sunday after my connection had been down for 1 hour I was told exactly the same thing. Shortly after though it came back up and has been stable all week.

my logs looked exactly the same on Sunday

GazCBG 14-07-2017 22:32

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

Been having that for the last few days those logs.
Just had to use my 4G to play on the PS4, as VM was up and down, as the fallover and back was causing issues on PSN.

I expect the weekend will be bad, VM currently connected at this time.

It feels more then SNR to be honest, as it is fine during the day, then in the evenings goes up and down.
I seen on VM Forum about some congestion in the Area 30, which Lincoln is in.

I asked in one of the posts and got ignored by the forum staff, when they was replying to another customer.
I only asked was it affecting me.

General Maximus 14-07-2017 22:44

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

I very much doubt it is going to be fixed by Sunday. If they havent been able to fix it during business hours this week then it sure as hell isnt going to be fixed over the weekend is it?

I wish i could lob a 3 mile long patch cable in your direction and connect you to my router :)

Re: Anyone else having problems in Lincoln?

They saying Monday it be fixed for 17th, that is what Tech support and Thinking of Leaving said. I can't see it being fixed either on Monday, as they said all week.
The way the guy said it who gave me the credit was, if not we will need to give you more. If not fixed on Monday.
