The first batch of Raspberry Pi computers are being issued to users.

A group of schoolchildren in Leeds are the first to get their hands on production models of the bare-bones computer.

Wonder who's going to be the first CF'er to get one?

I am not in the first 2k - but I did manage to get registered on both resellers early on the 'release day' so hopefully I'll be in the second batch :)

We now have in excess of 100,000 confirmed orders for the Raspberry Pi globally and can confirm that everyone who ordered before 18th April (i.e. today!) will definitely receive their Raspberry Pi before the end of June 2012, whatever your existing order confirmation says!

Must take 3 weeks longer to get to Manchester than Biggleswade... :erm:

Re: Raspberry Pi - a revolution?

My order went through at 8.34am according to Farnell...

I supplied my card details at the time of ordering but they've not taken any money yet.

Maybe I'm still in the other 8k that's coming before full production.

I watched a video on the foundations page last night and the bloke from RS says at the moment there are around 250,000 people waiting for one from there! And that one is without the case. FAcgtor in Farnell and you're looking about 400,000 - 500,000 people waiting.

Wow, and to think originally the foundation were expecting 10 to 20 thousand in the uncased board sales.

Dilli would it be possible to use a credit card size item (reward card etc) for a better comparision?
