Not sure mate the article only mentions the iPad so its anyone's guess.

IMO the Sky+ app has the most potential of anything Sky is currently doing on the technology front. Once they add the planner to the app they could potentially add as much as they want to allow people who wish to use their phones etc to control their stb, e.g. never miss could be incorporated.

I agree it also limits the need for expensive hardware as advanced search , viewing the planner , remote record , never miss can all be integrated and used on companion devices.

Another great feature if they went down this avenue of developing apps would be that the STB could be as simple as you like (just use as normal) or as advanced as you like (via other devices).

This is going to be an excellent year for Sky customers :D

Sky 3D audience growing, new channel hinted

Quote:

Sky is looking at the possibility of splitting its Sky 3D channel in two, creating a dedicated Sky Sports 3D channel in the process.

Both Simon Rexworthy, controller of acquisitions at Sky Movies, and Ian Lewis, director of Sky Movies, separately confirmed the move to Pocket-lint at a recent behind-closed-doors event in London.

Although neither man would say when such a channel might be created, both hinted that Sky 3D could be split within the next 12 months.

The reasoning behind the possible decision - which is far from certain to happen - is to allow Sky to show the growing amount of 3D content to which it now has access.
