Sky dont own all HD channels you know - so nothing is stopping VM getting these non Sky HD channels. You can not expect VM to release 30-40 HD channels all in one go - how long has it taken Sky to get were it is. I'm 100% that VM will not stop at 30 HD channels if Sky say 50 by Xmas then I'm going to say 40+ for VM. ---------- Post added at 12:00 ---------- Previous post was at 11:48 ---------- I can think of Luxe.tv HD, MGM HD, Rush HD that I dont really care if we get or not but if these channels are important to people then email VM asking for the channels. Sky Sports 3/4 HD - Sky Movies Classics HD we know were not going to get anytime soon. Sky Box Office 1/2 HD we wont get but we have film flex HD. There is 8 channels that we may never get but I really dont care much about these - its the rest I believe VM should be going to get and have no doubt they are trying. |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III

Big Red
Why wouldn't we be getting Sky Movies Classic HD...Surley that's included in the Ofcom report and Sky will b forced to let VM have it, as they've had to give the other movie channels??!!! |

Virgin will need to talk to Sky with an view of signing an other deal for Virgin to carry this channel. |
Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010) Vol. III
At the moment Virgin have access to 26 HD channels, but by the end of the year I expect this number to be around 40. SKY will have more, but they should have, because TV is their business. If SKY were to start rolling out a broadband service that was anywhere near as good as Virgin's, then Virgin would be pushed into making their product even better.
ps... I hear, that after challenging SKYPE on ownership of their name, SKY have now started proceedings against a MR J Lynne, to sort out name ownership rights, before they launch their new gay porn HD channel, "Mr Blue Sky" |

For me HD really comes into it's own during sport and wildlife programmes. Really not interested in Living, Hallmark and all they other kak channels. Really would prefer Nat Geo Wild HD etc

Virgin did the deal for Sky Movies HD as part of the deal that sold the Virgin Media Television Channels to BSkyB. |

I would like to see Nat Geo Wild HD , ESPN A HD, Hallmark HD and Sky One HD. Anyone know why Disney channel isn't HD doesn't seem like Disney to miss the boat, I know they have cinemagic HD but seems strange there's no Disney channel HD.
