nothing to do with virign they where removed from sky to it was the broadcaster that shut them down, although i agree it mroe channels removed than coming on, it bit pointless ot compolain when it out of virgin hands

I'm not sure how long it's been like it, but I've just noticed BBC Three and BBC Four now have off-air Virgin Media messages up until they start at 7pm. Before I always remember it was just a blank screen with no message.

....the BBC stations for England, Wales, Scotland and NI will replace them. These already broadcast on ex ntl between chs 930-936. This is part of the process (which is taking a 100 years to complete...) of aligning the channels between ex-telewest and ex-ntl.

The regional channels may reappear in the future, but as most of them are owned by national companies who are disinterested in local services, don't bet on them coming back. VM are clearly disinterested in local stations too! But if you want music in Welsh or Scots Gaelic, you'll be pleasantly surprised....:sleep:

Actually, I'm sorry to see local radio services (or any services) being dropped but VM may see that these are available already via analogue FM or DAB and that the bandwidth can be better utilised for other purposes. The cost of carrying these services may not be seen as justifiable when compared with the perceived value that they provide. They may also be trying to simplify the process of merging the disparate ex-franchise platforms.

The only Radio Channel I like is Magic 105.4 and I cant get it my area - YET - I did buy my DAB Radio just for that channel (I did hear it on my old Sky Box before I got DAB).

I have BBC News Multiscreen now but the only additional radio station I've noticed is BBC Radio 4 LW and I don't recall if I had that before last week or not.

LIVING2 and LIVING2 +1 are now LIVINGit and LIVINGit +1 as predicted by Media Boy.

Just noticed that they have added a View From option on On Demand. When you select a programme to view, and the window with info comes up there is now this third option. You can put in say 1:11 and it will jump straight to it. Nice edition...particularly if you want to view a particular moment again :-)

Virgin has today make some changes to the network in the Nottingham - They are BBC1 North will branded as BBC1 Yorks & Lincs plus BBC News Multiscreen, BBC Radio London 94.9 and BBC Radio 4 LW.

As of Today (16/03/10):
ITV2 has move from channel 114 to channel 115.
ITV3 has move from channel 116 to channel 117.
ITV4 has move from channel 117 to channel 118.
Channel 4+1 has move from channel 142 to channel 143.
E4 has move from channel 143 to channel 144.
E4+1 has move from channel 144 to channel 146.
More4 has move from channel 145 to channel 147.
Channel4 HD has move from channel 146 to channel 142.

Plus Virgin Cental has been remove from the Virgin EPG with Three ''Test Channels'' appearing on Virgin Channel 114, 116 and 145.

CNN has been repackaged on Virgin Media from TV size M+ to TV size M.

Virgin Media has updated the Ashford (Ex-ntl) and Gateshead (Ex-Telewest) Headends to NGTV.

The following areas has join NGTV:
Manchester areas of Stoke, Macclesfield, Runcorn and Warrington.

Virgin Media has axe BBC Radio Kent on their Basildon Headend.

Because there are other things that happen once you swap to the NGP - which need to kept at a manageable size

As of Today (23/03/10):
Virgin has remove all the ''Channel Moved'' channels from 114, 116 and 145.

The following channels has launch only for V+ HD viewers (Showing an Coming soon sign),
113. ITV1 HD (England and Wales only)
145. E4 HD*
214. Discovery HD*
522. Eurosport HD*

*Only for areas who have gone NGTV (BBC London is on Channel 937).
