Driverless cars wont happen until the question of liability is sorted out.
If there’s an accident who’s liable? The occupant? The car manufacturer? The software Developer, etc,etc Even Semi-autonomous i.e. cars that follow lanes on a motorway and monitor distances between vehicles, still need a vigilant occupant. I can imagine anytime soon the dream of drinking a coffee and reading the paper whilst your car driives you to work. |
