Re: The Xbox One Thread

Is there anywhere I can buy Xbox One games digitally, i.e the code, without paying the £54.99 that the official store charges?

Not that I know of. CDKeys.com has some games but not many. I get my credit from there which makes digital purchases a bit cheaper.

Yes Cdkeys.com is the place to go, you can also get 5% off via Facebook each time.

There are some good cheap games here so check it out the site is legit.

Nice! Cheaper and I can go digital only. Is there really no drawback? (other than the trade-offs in being digital).

No problems at all, the first time i bought something i verified my card with them but that was easy, all other times the codes came in the email instantly then you just redeem them on Xbox live the normal way and then install via the console.

If you like Assassins Creed grab Unity while it is so cheap!

Loving this 2TB external HDD i have bought, very small and compact and just sits behind the console! :)

If You're new to the Xbox One then i would recommend getting an EA Access pass, for only £19.99 a year you can play full games that they put in their games vault for no extra cost, it really is a cheap way of getting some great games at very little cost.

Current full games you can play are:

Battlefield 4
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare
Need For Speed Rivals
Madden NFL 25
FIFA 14
Peggle 2
EA Sports UFC (Dec 18th)

Some people recommend it.

Actually, reading the description of a game and seeing that you're actually buying an account with the game on it makes it very suspicious for me. I wouldn't risk that...

Look at Destiny for example...

Yeah, that looks dodgy. Unused XBL accounts? Why not just sell people the game code, instead of an XBL account with the code attached?

No way I'd use that...

cimt 14-12-2014 17:51

Re: The Xbox One Thread

I saw their reasoning on Reddit and their excuse was because of the codes being from another country.

Speaking of which, anyone know any of these countries which sells games so cheap? It'd be nice to check the actual prices.

Just how next gen are these consoles ? I've read a lot of pages on the web that seem to suggest we won't see much 4K action games or streaming on the Xbox One or PS4 which seems like madness for a so called next gen console if true.

You won't see any 4K on any of those consoles they were never meant for that especially at the cost of a £300-400.

I am personally happy with my X1, it is a step up from the 360, however alot of games are not 1080p, but that doesn't mean they still don't look great, and they're improving as the developers get the hang of the new hardware and when DX12 comes out that should help too.

They are next gen in the systems are more powerful than the last. No 4k as hardly anyone has TVs that output it yet.

Being the keyword , I'm sure sales will vastly increase during the shelf life of the Xbox One and PS4. I've read mixed info , I've seen some saying they should be capable of 4K Blu Ray and Video Streaming but others have said the opposite.

Re: The Xbox One Thread

I don't think we will see 4k till the next gen.

No real need either I don't think. 1080p still looks amazing.
