View Full Version : PHP Nuke
lo all,
I was wondering if the ntl home webspace was ok to use with PHP Nuke. I've seen some good looking sites created with the code and want to have a crack but I'm a total newbie with the setup and I want to know if it is worth my while gettin down and dirty with the manuals or just forgetting the whole idea.
AFAIK NTL Webspace doesn't support PHP or any other useful tools

I think you also need root access to the server which you will definitely not get on free/ISP webspace.
You don't need root access for PHP Nuke, just PHP and a database backend.

its an eccumenical matter anyway as it doesnt support anything!!!
its all very well haveing all that space but you cant do anything interesting with it which is a bit poor :(
Works for just putting a simple webpage up though!

lol.... u want tons of web space and use PHP ? set up ur own linux website on your own connection. I have. It great for messing around. A simple domain easy enough to get hold of and if you got some buddies they can route it to your IP address.
