Problem getting online with Norton IS 2004

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has been having a problem getting online with Norton Internet Security 2004?

I have been running it for about a couple of months with no problems but then suddenly the connection stopped with nothing getting through. I discovered that it worked if the firewall was turned off. I spoke to ntl and they said that it is a bug in Norton and they have had lots of similar reports but there is nothing they can do. I am not sure if this right and hope that ntl are not trying to do something more sinister.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried removing all the rules from norton and running IE again... Or failing that a re-install...

Cant say I am a big norton fan myself.. I use KPF... Miles better IMHO...

I tried NIS2004, managed to get on the net ok but it made the machine run like a dog so i ditched it

i found the same trouble with norton so i got rid of it and i have no trouble then i installed mcafee boy i had mega trouble but i have zonealarm now up to now no trouble
