I know this isnt turely a ntl question but you guys seem the best people to ask anyway. Just had Pipex 1mb adsl fitted and broke my xbox a few weeks back. Is it still worth investing in a PS2 or is it dead technology? didnt mean to offend any ps2 owners but just wondering if its still worth my £130 as i really feel like some online gaming.

Cheers

Ben

An Xbox is superior in technological terms, although both Xbox and PS2 are being superceded soon with Xbox 2 and PS3.

In a straight comparison, an Xbox is better than a PS2 though.

This has been discussed and it's a personal choice .....

I still wonder about the life expectancy of the XBOX .... Many have bought it and returned to the PS2.

... and it's built by microsnot.

In terms of processing power, the XBox is far superior to the PS2. I got this from one of the coders of Moto GP2 (someone who also has experience of coding for the PS2).

We bought an Xbox - yes the graphics etc are stunning but in the end we traded it in for a PS2 for two main reasons - the range of games available on the PS2 is far superior and the cost of the games is significantly less.

Mates have PS2's I got an Xbox, thye have hundreds of games for their PS2's but would trade the lot for an Xbox.

Me well I like the Xbox, I couldnt give a toss who made it, even if it was Sega.

For me the issues to the games are simple, when the Xbox has been around for as long as the PS2 there should be a comparable amount of games for it.

I think it's the other way around, it's linux on the xbox, not xbox on a linux pc :)
