Second modem

If I have two points for internet access, am I allowed to have two modems so I can have like 300kb on each so that two computers can be online without having a router in place?

No, sorry - only one Cable Modem can be associated with an account.

You can have a second modem if it is under a different account name.

And this will give you 600k on each (plus two 150k upstreams) - or whatever service level you apply to each one. But costs the same again.
